The Boat House - Luxury Accommodation on the Lake Taupo Waterfront.
This brand new build has it all, luxury combined with stunning panoramic views make the Boat House a very special place to stay. Built for rest and relaxation, this home opens to the Lake front on one side and decking with a hot tub on the other. The Boat house is a 10 minute stroll into town, walking along the Lake front to Taupo’s cafes and restaurants. Strolling along the water’s edge of Lake Taupo, you will see two two distinctive gable ends that reveal a home with a kiwi boathouse feel. Time honoured cedar board and batten cladding give The Boat House a traditional look.
Wide steps welcome you on to the main outdoor living area, where a kwila deck has built in seating and a fixed outdoor table. Architectural beams on the main front deck frame the picture perfect view of Mt Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe. It is a few steps to the Lake and a beautiful spot to sit back with a cold one and watch the sun set after a days fishing. It is situated just near one of Taupo's 'hot spots'. This is where a warm thermal stream bubbles up from under the lake, so you can go and sit in the warm water!
The Boat House Facilities
The master bedroom is lake facing and enjoys wonderful views. This is a super king bed but can be split into two king singles. Bedroom two is a king size bed. Bedroom three is a super king bed and can also be split into two king singles.
There are two luxurious bathrooms and two separate toilets. The Boat House is heated by geothermal water and the tile floors are always warm in the winter, while the bedrooms are heated by geothermal radiators.
Large stacking doors open to the kitchen dining hub, equipped with top of the range kitchen ware and commercial grade appliances. A second set of stacked doors lead to a sheltered rear deck while maintaining the unrestricted views of the Lake and mountains.
There is a geo-thermally heated cedar hot tub, which can be accessed directly from the rear bedrooms. The lounge has unrestricted views to the Lake and mountains and you can walk off the deck and on to one of the best swimming beaches Taupo has to offer.
Accommodation Rates
At present we are charging $400.00 per night mid week as our winter special. This ends at the end of September. Weekends (Friday, Saturday) are $500.00 per night.
