Tauranga is surrounded by forests with a range of species that are targeted by hunters including Deer, Goats & Pigs. Some forest blocks allow hunting with the correct permits. The Tauranga area boundaries roughly start from near Matata and go all the way up to Waihi Beach and across to Paeroa in the North and West. Within these areas are public conservation land blocks managed by the Department of Conservation. |
